How we work

Most of a great coating is prep you never see.

A coating is only as good as the paint under it, because it locks in whatever is there. So the work starts with a hand wash, an iron decontamination and a clay bar, then machine polishing until the clear coat is clean and level.

Protection goes on last. It takes a small slice of the hours, and it is the part everyone notices.

Services

Correction, coatings and the details in between.

Every service on this list starts the same way: a careful wash and a look at the paint under light.

Under the light

Most paint looks fine in the shade.

Swirl marks hide in shade and overcast light. Put a single bright light on the paint and they show up as fine rings circling the reflection. That is how every job here starts: paint checked under a light before anything is quoted.

  • Left As found: wash swirls ring the light and blur it.
  • Right Corrected: one tight, clean reflection.
Drag across the panel to move the light. A drawing of the idea, not a photo of a job.

The order matters

Five stages, always in this order.

Even a new car goes through all five. Transport film, rail dust and dealer car washes leave marks before you ever drive it home.

  1. 01

    Wash

Plenty of suds, two or three buckets, and no brushes on the paint when it can be helped.

  2. 02

    Decontaminate

An iron remover dissolves brake dust and rail fallout that a wash leaves stuck in the clear coat.

  3. 03

    Clay

A clay bar lifts tar, road debris and bonded grime until the paint feels smooth under a fingertip.

  4. 04

    Correct

Machine polishing takes out swirls, light scratches and oxidation, one panel at a time under light.

  5. 05

    Protect

Wax, sealant or a ceramic coating goes on last. A coating then needs about a day to cure.

Darker paint shows everything.

Black, navy and deep red take the longest to correct because they hide nothing. They also show the gloss best.

Not just cars

Planes, boats, trailers and RVs too.

Exotics, collections and classic cars are a big share of the work, and so are small aircraft. Big surfaces get a sealant made for RV, marine and aviation finishes.

FAQ

Questions people ask first.

Something else? Call or text (970) 518-0600.

Do you come to me?

Yes. Most of our work is mobile across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Eagle, El Paso, Larimer and Weld counties: your driveway, your work lot or wherever the vehicle is parked. Ask when you book if we need anything at your place. No good spot? Ask about our garage.

How much does a ceramic coating cost?

It depends on the size of the vehicle, the condition of the paint and the coating level. Text a few photos to (970) 518-0600 and we quote after a look, before anything is booked.

Does the paint have to be corrected first?

Yes. A coating seals in whatever is under it, swirls and scratches included. Every install starts with a wash, iron decontamination, a clay bar and machine polishing.

How long does it take?

An entry wash with a clay bar and hand wax takes 2 to 3 hours. A full correction with a coating runs 8 to 12 hours, then the coating needs about 12 to 24 hours to cure.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 3 PM. Call or text (970) 518-0600 to book a time.

Do you work on boats, RVs and planes?

Yes. Our own tagline has always read cars, planes, boats, trailers and RVs. Call or text what you have and where it is parked.
